Breast Revision Augmentation

Case 3

This is a 49 year old, 5’9“ tall & 142 pounds. 25 years ago, she had a sub-muscular augmentation with old, defective silicone implants (size 300 ml).

Soon after her augmentation, she developed a grade IV capsular contracture on the left side and a lesser contracture on the right.

She is seen here 1 year after revision surgery with bilateral capsulectomy (removal of the tight scarred capsules surrounding old implants) with re-augmentation using smooth, round saline implants (size 310 ml). She has a C cup.

She is very happy with her new, naturally shaped breasts.
