Breast Revision Augmentation
Before and After Photos
This is a 68 year old woman who had sub-glandular (over the pectoralis muscle), silicone implants placed 35 years ago.
Over the years, she developed hardening of the implants from capsular contracture (scar tissue formation around the implants) which made the breasts feel hard and distorted their shape. She requested revisionary surgery to rejuvenate the overall look and feel of her breasts.
She underwent breast implant removal, capsulectomy (removal of the scar tissue around the implants) with re-insertion of 305 ml saline breast implants and a vertical mastopexy (breast lift) to lift the nipple and breast tissue. Her implants were converted to the sub-muscular location to help avoid recurrent capsular contracture. She is seen here 2 months after her procedure.
