Case 17

This is a 47-year-old woman, 5’6” and 260 pounds. She has concerns about her abdomen. She has had difficulty in her attempts to lose weight and was not interested in bariatric surgery. She is seen here 3 months after liposuction with removal of 5.2 liters (approximately 11 pounds) of pure fat. This was done with a mild cocktail of oral medications along with tumescent local anesthesia. She is extremely delighted with her results. This has jump-started her weight loss efforts and she has since lost an additional 30 pounds with a goal weight of 170 pounds.
