Breast Reconstruction

Case 9

This is a 58-year-old woman who was diagnosed with right breast cancer. She elected to have bilateral mastectomy with immediate implant based reconstruction.

She has undergone immediate reconstruction with tissue expanders with subsequent exchange for high profile silicone gel implants with 600 ml on the left side and 800 ml on the right. I offered her fat grafting to the right breast upper pole to help fill in the depression from the mastectomy, but she is happy and is not interested. She is also not interested in nipple reconstruction.
