Breast Reconstruction
Before and After Photos
Before and After Photos
This is a 63 year-old woman who developed left breast cancer 10 years ago. She had breast reconstruction with a latissimus dorsi flap and breast tissue expander on the left breast, and an augmentation mastopexy (breast implant with breast lift) on the right breast. Unfortunately, she had erosion of the tissue expander through the left breast skin on two occasions prompting removal of the right breast implant and no further attempt at breast reconstruction on the left breast. 10 years later, she developed a new right breast cancer. For this, she was treated with a right mastectomy and successfully reconstructed with silicone gel breast implant, and on the left breast, the latissimus dorsi flap was revised with insertion of a silicone gel breast implant. She is seen here 10 months after the final stage of breast reconstruction where she is doing well and very happy with her results.
